Q: What can I expect at the first session?
A: The first session is unique from other therapy sessions in that there is a great deal of information gathering and largely therapist driven. It is focused on understanding you and the reason you've scheduled an appointment. Although scheduling the first appointment can be anxiety-inducing for many, this is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit to work together on the issues at hand, which often results in some immediate relief.
